Sales Engineer Australia – Cyber Security (Melbourne)
Our Client is a leading provider of secure application delivery and security policy management across
public and private clouds, containers and on-premises networks.
The Sales Engineer is supporting 2 regional Sales Managers. This is a home office position, reporting to the
Regional Sales Director.
Responsibilities
- Act as a subject matter expert; the face of the Company for the customer
- Advise sales teams and partners on best architecture for customer deployments
- Collect and disseminate customer requirements for the Product Management team. Serve as “Voice of the region” in PM group
- Set the technical direction for solutions and ensure team activities are coordinated and focused
- Work closely with the Project Management team to actively support project objectives, schedules and deliverables
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and coaching to solution partners and clients regarding the implementation and maintenance of the solutions
Requirements
- Relevant pre-sale experience in the area of Enterprise selling
- Expert knowledge of Core infrastructure, virtualization and systems, Cloud solutions (Public, Private, Hybrid), Network and security, LAN & WAN
- Solid understanding of the technology security market space firewalls, IDS/IPS, SDN, Compliance and Policy Orchestration
- Competent with Windows and Linux systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering – advantage
- Ability to work cross-functionally to create complex integrated solutions
- Excellent prioritization and qualification skills to ensure pipeline integrity and predictability
- Experience working with application builds, Java and REST APIs
