Resident Engineer (the Netherlands)

With strong market traction, year on year ARR growth and profitability, the company is entering a high-growth phase, going deeper into cloud and expanding the go-to-market reach globally.
We are seeking a Resident Engineer, a professional with extensive cyber security and networking background, but also strong customer facing capabilities and ability to build trust relationship with the external and internal stakeholders.
This is a home office position, reporting to the Resident Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring, operating and maintaining the products
- Troubleshooting assistance
- Upgrade planning and knowledge transfer
- Perform product customizations to a certain level
- Ability to identify and escalate revenue-driving adoption or expansion signals
- Monitor shifts in customer technical landscape, org structures or priorities, and escalate key insights to internal teams (Customer Success, Product, Strategy)
- Consult customers with best practices and being their ‘Trusted Advisor’
- Working in tight integration with Sales, Delivery, Support, CSM and R&D departments
Requirements
- Relevant experience in a similar position, combining technical hands on expertise with customer facing responsibilities, in a software company
- Experience in Linux/UNIX environments.
- Experience with networking devices (Switches, Routers etc.)
- Experience in firewall administration and configuration (such as Checkpoint, Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto etc.)
- Experience working with Cloud platforms and managing Cloud Security
- Good communication skills in English
- Ability to operate under pressure in deadline-driven situations and business emergencies
- Customer oriented, has the ability to establish customer’s trust
- Team player, pleasant to work with, with a high level of integrity
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
